INGREDIENTS
1 cup seasonal fruits
1/2 cup raisins
1 cup water
A pinch of salt
1 real teaspoonful butter
1 tbsp lemon juice
DIRECTIONS
Rinse the fruits.
If using strawberries let them soak in water, making sure to change the water 2-3 times.
Then lift them out of the water (leaving any dirt or grit behind) and drain.
If using fruits with seeds or pits, remove them.
Hull and slice the fruits, make sure to discard the bad parts.
Combine 1 cup prepared fruit, 1/2 cup raisins and 1 cup water in a pot.
Sprinkle a tiny pinch of salt and mix.
If using a sour fruit such as cherry, make sure to use a 1:1 ratio.
You can even add more raisins for a sweeter taste.
Bring to a boil over medium heat.
Once boiling add butter and mix.
Then reduce heat to the lowest possible setting and simmer for about 20-25 minutes, or until the liquid is almost completely reduced
Add the lemon juice, mix and turn off the heat.
